  • Rednamalas is my preferred Internet persona. It is Salamander spelled backwards. As the story goes, in the 1980's (a decade which I preferred), I used to play a game with my coworkers called "Cat & Mouse" on our CB radios after work. Basically, we would drive around town, hide, and then try to find each other using the strength of our CB signals as a beacon. Obviously I needed a radio handle, or nickname. A few years earlier I had seen a movie called "The Salamander (1981)" directed by Peter Zinner. I was intrigued by this movie. Its plot was based on a character whose charisma and resilience was compared during the movie to that of a mythical Salamander; an creature capable of withstanding fire without harm. So, the movie stuck in my mind and the CB handle, Salamander, was born. I used that alias off and on for many years until the Internet came along. Once I started using online nicknames I decided on the reverse of Salamander, Rednamalas. Why? Because it was original, sounded cool, and you won't find any other Rednamalas characters lurking out there. Even today. Try a search and see what you come up with.

  • Rednamalas (red·na·mal·as) = 'Salamander' (sal·a·man·der) - Define: 1) A mythical creature, believed capable of living in or withstanding fire, and even extinguish it by the natural coldness of its body. 2) An elemental being in the theory of Paracelsus inhabiting fire. 3) Any of numerous amphibians superficially resembling lizards but scaleless and covered with a soft moist skin.

Pizza has endless possibilities and recipes, not just pepperoni.

I prefer beef over chicken. I’m a steak and potatoes man. Large quantities of fresh seafood will satisfy me nicely. I love vegetables and big salads (Dressings must always be on the side – there is no other way). I am an avid Barbecue Chef and love to grill just about anything, I love spicy foods and I have no equal when I comes to enjoying the HEAT!

  • Personal: Christmas & Thanksgiving, Friday the 13th, sloppiness and disorganization, the day, diurnal activities, spring & summer, prejudices (racial, ethnic, regional, weight-related, intelligence, etc.), people who need laws for everything in their life, politics, telemarketers, abuse - mentally or physically, narrow-minded thinking, people who like to play mind games, people that have no business being in management, micromanagement, anyone with a second agenda, and all sports:

As long as any sport is favored in importance above Art, Music, and Literature in our schools, I condemn all sports. Art, Music, and literature coupled with athletic activities is the foundation of a solid education. There can be no other way.

  • Foods: Pastrami, liver, cows tongue, pigs feet, haggis, & head cheese, or anything I can't immediately identify.

 I m p o r t a n t

  • My music tastes are very broad due to a wide diversity of influences. Throughout my high school and early college career my primary focus was in music and fine art.
